YACHTS AND THE LEISURE SECTOR:

He brings many years' experience in yacht design and construction, yacht charter and operation as well as repair and maintenance.
Partner Douglas Lindsay is also an experienced yachtsman and in addition is a qualified and experienced square-rigger captain. This has given him particular skills in traditional rigging and large wooden hulls.
The spread of our services has specialised applications in the marine leisure sector. We do the basics: survey yachts, assess them for suitability, and advise on reconditioning. Equally, We can advise on yacht management, charter and operation up to and including the biggest superyachts.
Beyond that, we offer specialised services in planning, budgeting and financial control for both newbuild projects and refits. Full project management is available; we have a team of highly experienced project managers available, able to give a full-time yard presence under the general management of Maritime Resolve's partners.
We also provide voyage planning: assessing ports (including the most out-of-the-way), preparing budgets and voyage costings, and whatever level of supervision is felt necessary in support of more wide-ranging and ambitious trips.
The ports advisory service has its own particular application in the leisure sector, covering marinas and the sometimes difficult situation where commercial and leisure interests share the same port facilities and/or space. We can advise on safety and navigation considerations for marine leisure facilities.
Dispute resolution and mediation are the other side of the coin: using the expertise built up in project management and operating yachts, we can help solve dispute and settle financial arguments.
