SAFE PORT AND SAFE BERTH
In this, Captain Douglas J Lindsay is the lead expert. With many years service as a qualified master mariner, as well as experience as a port agent, a stevedore, and in ship management, his background is directly relevant. Since 2000 he has also become expert in the application of the UK’s Port Marine Safety Code (see the port pages for details) which has given him in-depth knowledge of marine operations, risk assessment, and management structures in ports.

THE FISHING INDUSTRY
The lead expert is D Tony Eden. He has wide experience of the fishing industry, both afloat and ashore, and consults on operations, facilities and the trade in sea products. He has had successful cases involving injury and safe working practices on the decks of fishing boats, disputes over fish trading activities, and fishing vessel design and planning.

YACHTS AND MARINE LEISURE ACTIVITIES
The lead expert is Derek Williams. He has background experience in yacht design, construction and maintenance with a particular emphasis on electrical and electronic installations. He has also run his own yacht charter business.

COMBINED SERVICES
